Outsized booths for outsized parts. At Caterpillar in Grenoble, a construction equipment manufacturer, the SAMES XXL powder coating booths treat large components. In October 2022, CREDO carried out maintenance on these booths and on their Inobell bell-type powder guns.

A planned maintenance intervention: inspection and reconditioning of the Inobell bell-type guns, check of the powder distribution centre, powder and air circuits, then application checks before handing the booths back to production.

What we did

Diagnosis
Assessment of the XXL booths, the Inobell bell-type guns and the powder distribution centre.

Bell-type guns
Dismantling, cleaning, replacement of wear parts and reassembly of the Inobell powder guns.

Centre and circuits
Check of the powder distribution centre, pumps, powder hoses and air supplies.
4
Tests
Adjustments and application tests in the booth, check before return to production.

The result

✓ XXL booths and Inobell guns back in working order. ✓ An intervention carried out without disrupting production. ✓ Long-term follow-up: CREDO remains the site's contact for maintenance and SAMES parts.
